Alex has six years experience designing and implementing custom-built database-driven solutions for both the internet and office intranets. He has a strong interest in the creation of easily navigable ecommerce sites with user-friendly admin pages. Alex’s code is clean and intuitive and his keen ability to understand whole projects quickly and accurately saves his clients time and money. He specializes in custom-built solutions based in mysql and php with front-end javascript validation.

Before becoming a full time web developer, he taught math and science in a private experiential high school that he helped to establish in Bellingham, Washington.

He holds a degree with High Honors in Biology from Oberlin College and has several years of coursework in advanced mathematics. He brings an indefatigable curiosity to all his pursuits.

Other skills include: Experienced in the use of javascript, php, mysql, unix and the macintosh operating system. Creation of dynamic graphical elements, such as thumbnails, charts and specialty fonts, and the creation of dynamic pdf documents for reporting and order forms.
